The first time
I heard My Chemical Romance I really
didn't like what I heard from them.
Then about a month ago I saw the video
for "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)"
and it had a catchiest to it that I
liked. I then decide to listen to a
few others songs on the album and liked
what I heard so I got a copy of "Three
Cheers For Sweet Revenge".
The album has a melodic post-hardcore
sound with dark, catchy lyrics, strong
poppy vocals and haunting backing vocals.
The first four songs on the album start
out dark then it becomes more poppy
with "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)"
lending into more of a heavier sound
with the last seven songs. After the
first five songs the album started to
get a bit repetitive since the songs
where becoming more slower and heavy.
Some of the songs on the album aren't
that band. But really "Three
Cheers For Sweet Revenge"
can becoming repetitive and boring after
a while.
